Your current favorite artist: The White Stripes
Jack and Meg are rockstars, period. While I fell in love with their songs immediately, I admit I thought their whole red, white and black image was a bit too gimmicky to take seriously. It wasn't until I recently watched their most excellent tour video "Under Great White Northern Lights" that it all started to make sense. In Jack's words, "Everything from your haircut to your clothes to the type of instrument you play to the melody of a song to the rhythm — they’re all tricks to get people to pay attention to the story."
Since then, The White Stripes moved to the top of my current faves list. Here's the official trailer for said tour video which pretty much sums up their awesomeness in a minute and a half:

Hmm... I can see them just fine but if you really want to youtube them yourself, it is the official trailer to "Under Great White Northern Lights" and the video for "We Are Going To Be Friends." If I wanted to make this REALLY long, I'd have also posted the videos for "Fell In Love With A Girl" and the live version of "Jolene."
