Something I don't do nearly enough is just up and go somewhere for the day. The woods, the beach, rivers, mountains... they're all within minimal driving distance from here which is why I have a hard time thinking about living anywhere else. That said, I will fess up to not taking advantage of this very often. I was however lucky enough to get to drive up to Seattle for a quick visit yesterday with my cousin Johanna. The big bonus was that she drove the whole way (THANKS!) and has a sweet ride which made the 6 hour round trip a comfy one. We didn't do much but bum around the shops on the pier and cruise through Pike Place Market. I missed another opportunity to take my camera but managed to snap a few silly moments on my phone for you all to enjoy:

Those pics are still great, cell phone conceived or not. Those glasses are *FINE*. I hope you bought some. Good for you taking a trip up. Seattle is way cool.
