We put Matt's new home-brewing hobby to good use this year by serving his goods at the biennial St. Patrick's Day Party.  Since getting his home brew kit for Christmas, he has made a batch of blonde ale, a Porter and an IPA, the last two of which we served for ST. Pat's.  It has been a good hobby for him and I have so enjoyed tasting the fruits of his labor.

Thankfully we had just enough time to put the house back together after the flooring was installed to accommodate a house full of people. Plus, we spent about two weeks listening to Irish music on Pandora and Spotify so we were really well primed for the festivities this year.

Although not all of the family could make it down for the party, Uncle Bob and Aunt Nancy did trek from Sequim in all their green finery and of course the local family and friends were well represented.  I even extended the invitation to a few coworkers who were glad to come and liven the affair.  It was nice to see them outside of the office and I feel pretty sure everyone had a good time.  We cooked up a bunch of corned beef and cabbage for the event.  I always think we have too much food (especially when you consider all of the goodies everyone else brought) but we were happy that all of the food was eaten.  It really was delicious!
